Yesturday Monday August 24th Burns Lake RCMP recived a call for a report of a collison between a tractor trailer and a pick up truck.
On the 9800 block of Highway 16 east of Burns Lake.
RCMP say the investiation revealed that an east bound tractor trailer veered left, into the west bound lane, striking a west bound pickup truck before coming to rest in the ditch.
The driver of the pickup received non-life-threatening injuries and was extracted from the vehicle by the Burns Lake Fire Department.
And transported to a local hospital by EHS for treatment.
The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured.
RCMP say the highway was reopened after 45 minutes once the scene was cleared.
The investigation into the cause of the collision is still ongoing.
