The City of Quesnel is announcing the appointment of a new Fire Chief.
Ron Richert has been appointed to the position for the Quesnel Fire Department. Richert first began his career as a volunteer firefighter in 1998 later joining the City Staff as Fire Inspector/Safety Officer in 2012. With a further promotion to Assistant Chief Subsequent to that.
In a statement Richert said, “I’m honoured to have become a part of Quesnel Fire Department’s long and proud tradition of serving this community.”
The official appointment to Fire Chief and the Director of Emergency Services took effect yesterday.
