National Day of Truth and Reconciliation: Honoring the Past, Building a Better Future
On September 30, the community will come together to honour the past, foster healing, and build a better future through a day of reflection, connection, culture, and community.
The day begins at 11 AM at Salt Marsh with a tree planting and opening ceremony, followed by a community walk around the marsh at 11:30 AM. The gathering will then continue at the Curling Rink from 12:30–5 PM, with dance groups, speakers, activity tables, vendors, and more.
Transportation will be available with bus pick-ups at Ocean Centre Mall, making it easier for community members to take part throughout the day.
CFNR will also be LIVE ON LOCATION from 11 AM–3 PM, bringing you coverage from the event and connecting with the community.
