In Honour of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
The Kermode Friendship Society is inviting the community to come together on Thursday, September 24th for a meaningful day of storytelling, cultural activities, community connection, and reflection.
The event runs from 10 AM to 3 PM at the Kermode Friendship Society at 4714 Park Ave. in Terrace. There will be cultural activities, a community BBQ, and orange shirts available to attendees while supplies last. It’s an opportunity to learn, listen, connect and reflect together.
Following the daytime event, everyone is welcome to take part in a Berry Ceremony & Tea beginning at 3 PM and continuing until the gathering is finished. Facilitated by Jolene Prince, the ceremony brings people together around berries, tea and drum to share, listen, learn and simply be part of the circle. There is no pressure to speak or sing.
Everyone is welcome to join the Kermode Friendship Society as the community comes together to honour National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
