Terrace showed its generosity once again during this year’s Tim Hortons Smile Cookie campaign, raising $16,415 for the Terraceview Lodge Ceiling Gantry Lifts and Motors Project.
A total of 10,943 Smile Cookies were sold between the two Tim Hortons locations—an increase from last year’s 9,430. The money will go toward a $463,400 initiative to improve resident care through the installation of ceiling lift systems at the long-term care facility.
Thanks to strong community support, one full lift system will be funded, along with just over half of a second. CFNR was proud to help spread the word and support the Dr. REM Lee Hospital Foundation in its mission to enhance healthcare in the Northwest.
Campaign organizers say the response from Terrace was overwhelming and continues to show how powerful local support can be.
