The 2025 cruise season kicks off in Prince Rupert this Friday, May 9, with the arrival of *Serenade of the Seas*, a Royal Caribbean vessel. This marks the first of nearly 50 scheduled cruise ship calls expected throughout the year.
Officials at the Prince Rupert Cruise Port anticipate welcoming more than 65,000 passengers during the season. The influx of visitors is expected to provide a strong boost to the local economy, with increased activity for tour operators, retailers, restaurants, and cultural attractions.
Prince Rupert continues to position itself as a key stop along the Alaska cruise route, offering travelers a blend of Indigenous culture, coastal scenery, and small-town hospitality. With more ships and passengers on the horizon, the community is preparing to showcase the best of the North Coast to a global audience.
The cruise season typically runs through late September, with peak traffic expected during the summer months.
