LNG Canada has successfully received its first LNG carrier at its facility in Kitimat, located on the traditional territory of the Haisla Nation. The Maran Gas Roxana arrived today, carrying liquefied natural gas for equipment testing. This marks a key milestone in the facility’s start-up and commissioning process ahead of its first LNG export by mid-2025. The operation was a collaborative effort involving HaiSea Marine personnel, tugboats, British Columbia Coast Pilots, Pacific Pilotage Authority Canada, the Canadian Coast Guard, and the Canada Border Services Agency. LNG Canada expressed gratitude to all involved for helping reach this significant achievement. For more details about the LNG delivery, visit LNG Canada’s website.
