In Terrace, British Columbia, the RCMP had an eventful morning on June 13th. Officers observed a vehicle parked at a local gas station, belonging to an individual prohibited from driving. Later, when the vehicle was spotted in motion, both the driver and passenger were known to police as prohibited from driving.
A traffic stop ensued to verify a licensed driver’s presence. Upon interaction, the driver exhibited signs of impairment. Subsequently, upon exiting the vehicle, officers noticed multiple drug paraphernalia items inside.
All occupants were arrested for possession of a controlled substance. A subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered various items consistent with drug trafficking, including suspected crystal meth and fentanyl.
The seized items are now in police custody as the investigation remains active. This incident marks a significant step in local law enforcement’s ongoing efforts to combat drug-related activities in the area.
