Welcome to another episode of Journeys with your host Kelly Kenny. I would like to give a trigger warning as this episode covers a very heavy and subjective topic. Addiction. Over the next couple months I will be featuring Pierre Morais. Mr. Morais is an experienced clinical counsellor with a Master’s degree who specializes in addiction. Along with Pierre I will be having other front line addiction staff help share what they know and have experienced. Pierre has over 25 years of professional experience in this field and over 35 years of personal recovery from addiction. He is also a published author and has created dozens of videos on addiction and recovery. I know with how isolating the pandemic has felt for us; that more than ever we need to know we are not alone and the reason why this is so important to me is so many people are suffering in silence. I thought the more knowledge I can share the less stigma that we all will feel about this subject and to be able to open up and talk about Addiction as I know it affects all of us on some sort of level.
