Our guest on this episode is Cezin Nottaway, an award winning Anishinabe chef living in Kitigan Zibi, Quebec, running her own catering company, and sharing a part of her life in a new series on APTN called “Chuck and the First Peoples’ Kitchen”.
Cez was the co-host of the very first episode, where she showed her personal friend and world-renowned Canadian chef, Chuck Hughes traditional ways of harvesting maple syrup and trapping beaver. It’s not the first time she’s been featured in an APTN cooking show, as previously she graced the small screen as one of the hosts of “Red Chef Revival”.
She is also one heck of a funny story teller…in our interview, Cez talks about her life growing up surrounded in her culture, how she found her love of cooking, and how she ended up on this brand new Indigenous culinary coast-to-coast adventure.
