B.C. Health Officials held their daily update today regarding the Covid-19 situation.
Today, there were 8 new reported cases bringing the provincial total to 2232, no changes to Interior Health or Northern Health cases numbers. At this time 17 outbreaks are now considered over including the outbreak at the Lynn Valley Care Centre.
Currently, there are 78 people in hospital and 21 in critical care, as well as 4 new deaths to report. The number of people that have recovered has also increased to 1472. Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry continues to reinforce the point that we are not out of this yet and that restrictions will remain in place as we continue to have outbreaks in our communities.
