CFNR held our first ever training course in
Video, Radio & Social Media




This exciting and unique training course was an integrated 4-week training program that provides
An introduction to Videography and Non-Linear Editing,
an introduction to Radio and training in
Social and Digital Media Promotion.
Sponsored by TRICORP and CFNR this training is a high-level introduction to each of these exciting fields:
- Introduction to Videography
- Introduction to Video Interviews
- Introduction to Non-linear Editing
- Introduction to Radio Announcing
- Introduction to Social Media Promotion
Video equipment, microphones, and computers will be provided, and each student will have hands-on training in each course aspect, all in a COVID safe and twice-daily, sanitized environment with PPE provided.
The course took place over 4 weeks as follows:
- Week 1 – Introduction to Videography, Lighting, On-set etiquette, COVID protocols
- Week 2 – Return to community to shoot (students will shoot their own video interview)
- Week 3 – Non-Linear Editing
- Week 4 – Introduction to Radio (3 days)
- Week 4 – Introduction to Social Media Promotion (2 days)
Digital Media is a fast growing industry for now and in the future.
Students will receive training they can implement in their community and help take their communication needs to the next level.
Learn how to produce Video and Audio content, as well as, learn how to use Social and Digital media for the best communication results.
Students received a certificate upon successful completion of this 4-week course
Participants must be:

Be of aboriginal ancestry

Be 18 years of age or older

Have or be able to acquire a valid driver’s license

Demonstrate a professional attitude, be punctual, and commit to the program

Be proactive in their training
