Terrace Youth Soccer Association Train From Home Initiative

Terrace Youth Soccer Association (TYSA) will be running free online virtual sessions for all players currently registered to take part in the 2020 season. These sessions are done in partnership with Vancouver Whitecaps FC and run weekly on Tuesdays; starting May 12th, 4:30pm-5:30pm, through until a time when players can get back on-field.

All players currently registered for the 2020 season received an email with details of login, etc, with more information available on the TYSA Facebook page.

TYSA has an official partnership with Vancouver Whitecaps FC and through that they hope to add unique elements to the TYSA online sessions, such as VWFC players dropping in to say hi or do Q&As, prizes (VWFC mini-balls, magnets, etc.), and other fun ideas.

They are also uploading daily videos of Homeplay and Ball Mastery activities from the VWFC Football At Home library to the TYSA Facebook page to provide easier access to TYSA members. Additionally, players also have access to a Live Daily Skills Clinic with VWFC coaches and players.

Althought the start of the season may be delayed, TYSA hopes the virtual sessions will help players stay connected with their football and each other; and help players experience a bit of “normalcy” given everything that is going on.
