Three public transit agreements have been approved for the next year by Quesnel City Council.
First, Council approved their Annual Operating Agreement with BC Transit for 2019-2020, confirming the annual budget, service level, and cost structure.
BC Transit has estimated total costs for service covered in the agreement at roughly 1.2 million dollars, with a municipal share of just over 463 thousand, to be adjusted for actual revenue.
Then the City agreed to their Community Transit Partnerships with the District of Wells and Nazko First Nation.
Under those partnerships, transit service will be provided to Wells one day per week, and to Nazko once per month over the next year.
Fees charged in both partnerships reflect the estimated annual cost of 90 dollars per hour.
