Terrace will see a series of downtown street closures beginning Tuesday, May 27, as roadwork and paving take place. Emerson Street will be closed in sections: from Lakelse to Lazelle Avenue, and from Lazelle to Park Avenue, until May 30. The intersection of Emerson and Park will also be impacted. While Lazelle Avenue will remain open, the intersection at Emerson and Lakelse will be a four-way stop with flashing traffic signals. For the next two weeks, Kalum Street, from Davis Avenue to Soucie Avenue, will only allow local traffic in one direction. Drivers are urged to avoid these areas and follow detour signs. No parking will be permitted along these streets until the work is completed. The city will provide further updates as construction continues, and residents are encouraged to stay informed.
