Cedar LNG Pipeline Construction Set to Begin

Cedar LNG has selected Ledcor Haisla Limited Partnership (LHLP) to handle the pipeline construction for its project. Ledcor Haisla Limited Partnership, a joint venture between the Haisla Nation and Ledcor, has a long history of working in the Kitimat region and providing job opportunities for local Indigenous communities. Planning for the pipeline construction is underway, with safety orientations, site preparations, and hiring processes already in progress. Construction is expected to begin later this year.
The project has also made significant progress since its final investment decision last June, clearing the marine terminal site and pipeline route while working to minimize environmental impacts. The marine terminal construction is set to begin this year, with peak construction anticipated in 2026. The floating LNG facility, being developed overseas, is expected to be in service by late 2028.
