2020 Haisla LNG Career Fair, Conference & Tradeshow – Rescheduled to August 2020
“Dear Delegates, Exhibitors and Sponsors:
Obviously the world id being turned upside down by COVID-19 and it is important we all do our very best to prevent the spread of the virus. Public gatherings are not advised at this time, and so we are rescheduling the conference into August of 2020. Hopefully by then we will be back to some kind of normality in the world.
The new dates will be August 25th for the Career Fair at the Tamitik Arena and the Conference Welcome Reception will also be held that evening at the Tamitik from 6pm-8pm.
The conference days will now be August 26th and 27th.
All monies paid and invoiced to date are secure and 100% of the funds will be credited to the new dates.
We will update our website with the new information within 24 hours and the first draft of the agenda will be online next week.
This event is very important for the region as it helps bring together all regional First Nations with over 200 industry organizations to help foster positive dialogue and stimulate conversations around partnerships and joint ventures. We are committed with our partners CFNR and the Haisla Nation to making sure we deliver an excellent event in August.
Please keep yourself and your families safe, try to practice social distancing as best as you can, and we’ll all get through this very difficult time for Canada and the world.
Questions about the event can be addressed to Chelsea Doyle – chelsea@2ggroup.ca “

A message from

As an Aboriginal Communications company CFNR feels strongly
in providing as much information on the benefits and impacts
that development will have within our region to the people living in it
We have partnered with The Haisla Village Council and Aboriginal Marketplace for the second Annual Haisla LNG Conference and Career Fair.
This event will allow us to assist the communities that we reach with education on proposed and existing projects in the area and allow industry to meet with the community leaders and other businesses and individuals for potential employment opportunities.
Who Should Attend?
- First Nations Businesses, Chiefs and Councils, Economic Development officers and business leaders
- Private Sector Organizations interested in developing partnerships, joint ventures, and business relationships with regional First Nations business groups involved with the LNG Canada project
- All levels of Government involved with Aboriginal economic development, education and training
- Anyone interested in understanding more about how to effectively do business with the First Nations of BC’s Pacific Northwest
We anticipate an audience of around 500 delegates and 120 exhibitors.
This event is over three days in May 2020 and is partnership with the Haisla Nation.
The focus of the event will be to give the attendees updates on the LNG Canada, Coastal GasLink and Pacific Traverse Energy Propane Terminal, as well as “Best Practices” discussions around how to
create as many community benefits as possible from Major Projects.
Committing to and developing Social License is key to the success of any large projects planned in Haisla Territory. To this end we have added a Career Fair component to the tradeshow for the 2020 the event with May 5 being dedicated to the Career Fair at the Tamitik Centre.
We are committed to assisting regional First Nations to help them and their members to get employment and contracting opportunities from these projects.
There is an enormous workforce needed for these projects, and we all would like to see as many First Nations people as possible get employment and training opportunities. We expect over 200 different private sector and First Nations business groups to attend and there will be excellent networking opportunities with a very diverse group of organizations covering many industry sectors.
Projects of this scale do not happen very often in Canada.
We encourage you to see what opportunities may exist for your organization within the scopes of these mega projects.
