About 200 labour leaders and workers gathered in Prince Rupert over the weekend as the BC Federation of Labour held its annual regional conference.
Billed as “The Future of Work”, the gathering focused on the changing nature of workplaces and covered a number of topics, including automation.
BC Fed President Laird Cronk says automation could have a major impact on the Port of Prince Rupert.
The regional conference also discussed reconciliation and the challenges facing the resource sector.
